Find the yap by what you said.
Search saved speech, see matching excerpts, and start your next yap without waiting for transcription.
We wanted transcription to help you find your recordings without making you manage captions. Timed text now stays behind the scenes, while playback and exported video stay clean.
Search makes that saved text useful: enter something you said and see a matching excerpt alongside the yap. Transcription happens on your device while the app is open and idle, and results update as text becomes available.
In this release
- Added
Search yaps and clips by saved spoken words as well as titles. Matching speech appears as a short excerpt, including matches across caption phrases.
- Improved
Video readiness, playback, export, and the next-recording gate no longer wait for transcription. New recording still waits for video preparation to finish.
- Simplified
Transcription runs automatically on-device, without caption switches, overlays, or processing prompts. Previous caption settings no longer control this internal work.
- Search
Results update when transcripts become available. Search uses the current saved edit, excluding stale transcripts and trimmed-out speech.
- Background work
Transcription yields to recording and playback and pauses when the app is hidden. Transcription failures do not block use of the recording.
