Finished clip decoders are released before processing later clips. Unused previews are evicted by size as well as count, with a 48 MB cache budget that protects previews currently in use.
Diagnostics
A small diagnostic download icon appears during preparation or errors. Reports include preparation timings, active waits, and failures without recordings or caption text.
Preserved
Saved previews can be restored from device storage without re-rendering. Video quality and navigation are unchanged.
