The caption engine stays ready briefly between clips, then releases its memory when idle or the app goes into the background.
Faster edits
New transcripts retain original word timings, so trimming reuses the transcript instead of recognizing the speech again. Older phrase-only captions need one upgrade pass when first edited.
Refined
Queued intermediate versions are skipped when a newer edit is ready to prepare.
